[salon] 718 is celebrating its newest location.

Located at the 1Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, [salon]718 Dumbo is the fourth location for the Brooklyn-based full service, multi-branch boutique salon, which also includes locations in Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and Prospect Park.

"Had you told me six years ago that [salon]718 would find its Dumbo home at the 1Hotel Brooklyn Bridge while also serving as the flagship store for Pureology, I may have thought you were writing someone else’s story-  yet here we are,” [salon]718 CEO and Founder Michaella Blissett Williams says.

Blissett Williams explains, “this salon is the culmination of years of hard work and vision that have finally come to fruition. Our ultimate goal is to serve our community and be kinder to the planet, while remaining thoughtful in our execution of business practices as stylists. We continue to evolve as experts and educators within our industry, and spread the message that beauty is inclusive. We look forward to seeing our passion and purpose thrive in this bustling, vibrant location.”

[salon]718 has also teamed up with Pureology, making this location the brand’s first flagship store in Brooklyn and their premiere paperless salon.

“We’re honored to partner with Michaella Blissett Williams and her new [salon]718 location,” says Pureology General Manager Candy Gebhart. “The salon shares our values of inclusive and sustainable beauty and is the perfect salon for the modern woman.  Additionally, Michaella is an incredible business woman who exemplifies the success stylists and young women aspire to achieve.”

Servicing all hair types and textures with offerings that include color, cut, special occasion, extensions and balayage, [salon]718 Dumbo also offers texture reformation, make up application and bespoke treatments.

In addition to their partnership with Pureology, [salon]718 recently introduced its own four product line which includes a pomade [upstate], dry shampoo [encore], styling cream [winding up] and a finishing spray [showtime].  Also notable is [salon]718 Dumbo’s full commitment to environmentally friendly practices - including a decision to go completely paperless with the help of  technology from Phorest Salon Software.

At [salon]718 Dumbo, you won’t find stacks of magazines in the sitting area, rather complimentary iPads for browsing enjoyment and electronic payment.  Additionally, the salon works with Green Circle - a recycling company that utilizes everything from used foils to discarded hair - in an effort to further reduce their carbon footprint.
